Why Me & Sherry’s House is a supportive residential sanctuary for families whose child is undergoing cancer treatment in the area. The staff works hard to make it a home away from home.
The charity we are supporting this month is Why Me? (Worcester Help for Youth, Memories Everlasting( & Sherry’s House, a central Mass non-profit offering free comprehensive services, supporting the entire family throughout a pediatric cancer diagnosis and treatment. Monetary conations will be accepted at our meeting.

Women’s Role in the Military: Then and Now. This presentation highlights the contributions of women in service to our nation’s military, tracing women’s equity in the armed forces from the Revolutionary War to present day.
The charity we are supporting this month is Veteran’s Inc. Located in Worcester, Veterans Inc provides specialized assistance to help veterans regain elf-sufficiently coordinating access to housing, employment, training, food security, healthcare, and women’s programs. Monetary donations will be accepted at our meeting.

Speaker: Police Chief Todd Minardi, Town of Westborough
Chief Minardi will speak about what’s happening in our town. some topics will include the Capital Plan for Town Meeting, the new emergency response vehicle and new technologies. This is about getting to know the chief and the Westborough Police Department.
The charity we are supporting this month is the Westborough Food Pantry, a client-choice pantry, run by volunteers serving our local community. A list of items needed will be circulated. Monetary donations will be accepted also.

The charity we are supporting this month is the Westborough Holiday Store. This free store distributes gifts for local children throughout the holiday season. Sponsored by Westborough Youth and Family Services, Rotary Club and local organizations and businesses. A Wish List will be provided. Monetary donations will be accepted also.

Wild Ambitions for AI – Meredith Gore, PhD, will talk about the illegal trade in wild animals that is increasing in the world. A Maryland professor and researcher, Meredith Gore, also known as a conservation criminologist, is turning to AI to snare smugglers and expose their networks.
The charity we are supporting this month is Abby’s House which provides shelter and affordable housing, as well as advocacy and support services to homeless, battered, and low-income women with or without children. Monetary donations will be accepted.

The charity we are supporting this month is Dignity Matters, a Westborough-based non-profit helping women stay healthy and live with basic dignity addressing period poverty by providing free menstrual products, bras, and underwear to the homeless or disadvantaged. Post 22 is a Westborough-based non-profit dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to ensure that they have a place to belong, grow and contribute to their community.
Two organizations will be supported this month. Post 22 is committed to empowering intellectually disabled adults over the age of 22 by providing individualized education and robust training / employment and a community-based program. Monetary donations will be accepted.
We will also support the Little Free Pantry, a neighborhood supported mini pantry. We will be collecting non-perishable food items in preparation for our April coverage. a list of items mot needed will be shared.

We welcome your monetary donations for he Charlotte Spinney Vision Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to 7th graders in the Westborough school system. Beginning in the 8th grade, these students are paired with a teacher at the high school and a volunteer mentor of the Westborough community for ongoing support and guidance. Cash or check will be welcome at the luncheon.
